Holland’s Best Family Activities and Attractions

When traveling to Holland with kids, it is important to keep them entertained. There are plenty of kid friendly activities available to families both local and foreign tourists. Eindhoven, located in southern Holland, is a center of modern art, architecture and fashion. It is associated with the multinational corporation Philips that includes an indoor karting track, plus a park with amenities for families. Speaking of the Philips corporation, there is a historic museum where the corporation first had their start in the 19th century. A great way for kids to learn during their stay in Holland.

Familes would love the Swimming Paradise De Tongelreep, with it’s large subtropical pools with wave machines. Also in this facility are steam baths, large outdoor pools, terraces and bridges. It is a perfect summer activity for the whole family to enjoy.

Another traditional staple in Dutch life is cheese making and the Cheese Farm de Ruurhoeve, located not far from Eindhoven will be a fun experience where the family can see a real working dairy farm. Kids can see the milking of cows and maturation of cheese before being sold to the public.

Kids are always facinated by animals and birds and Parrot Park is the place to learn about them. This animal shelter has over 3500 cockatoos and parrots. With many kinds of reptiles, fish, turtles, emus, squirrels and kangaroos, it is a place where kids can get close to these animals.
